Two ENMU Graduates Discuss Student Support Services

Student success is a key part of Eastern New Mexico University’s mission. Student’s benefit from small class sizes, supportive counselors, and accomplished professors as well as a myriad of student support services offered by the university. For many students, these unparalleled support services were crucial in achieving a successful outcome. In this post, we’ll highlight the support experiences of two recent graduates from ENMU’s College of Business.
Kylie Katalinich ’17 – Business Administration
For Kylie, graduating from ENMU was the happiest day of her life. After battling with the emotional challenge of losing her uncle, aunt, and mother while studying at ENMU, Kylie turned to the school’s support system for help. In a recent piece for ENMU student success news, Kyle talks about how she leveraged the community to get her to graduation day. "So many professors and colleagues were understanding and helpful during some trying moments of my life," Kylie stated. She later goes on to list some of her biggest supporters, "College of Business, the College of Fine Arts, the Department of Languages and Literature and Susan Larson, the director of Counseling and Career Services."
Jerome Aguilar ’17 – Business Administration
Jerome’s ENMU experience was no straight line. Jerome worked hard to complete his first three years at ENMU, but he struggled and left ENMU after his third year. Eventually, with the support of his community, family, and staff at ENMU, Jerome returned to complete his business degree. He recalled in an ENMU news report, "I chose ENMU because the people here care about my success," said Jerome.  "From recruiters to instructors, everyone is here to help you get to where you want to be." Jerome now hopes to earn his MBA from ENMU and start his own business someday.

Two College of Business Programs That Offer Great Career Options

The College of Business at Eastern New Mexico University strives to prepare each student for professional careers and advanced study. To accomplish this end, the College of Business shares ENMU’s tradition of providing a “student-focused” education. This approach has earned ENMU’s College of Business several prestigious awards including being ranked first in the nation for least expensive online degrees in education and business by OnlineU, thirteenth fastest growing master's level university by the Chronicle of Higher Education, and praised by USA Today for being one of the most affordable four-year universities in the nation.
Here is a glimpse of some of the amazing programs offered by the College of Business:
1.  Personal Financial Planning
Want to become a certified financial planner in as little as two years? Then look no further than ENMU’s flexible personal financial planning degree options. The PFP program is available as an emphasis for existing undergraduate students and as a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences concentration area.
2.  Master of Business Administration (MBA)
ENMU’s MBA program was designed for maximum flexibility: you can earn an MBA while taking both online and on-campus courses. The MBA program enables working adults and individuals with busy lives to achieve their education goals at their own pace. A successful MBA candidate will emerge from the program as a master generalist (instead of business specialist in finance, human resources, marketing, etc.) and be equipped to serve in a number of managerial roles.

Three Online Bachelor Programs That Offer Diverse Career Options

Eastern New Mexico University is proud to offer flexible online undergraduate bachelor’s degree programs. The time it takes to earn a bachelor's degree will vary depending on how many classes you take each semester and how many credits you've previously accumulated. On average, it can take students four to five years to complete their bachelor’s study.
At the time of this publication, ENMU’s bachelor’s degree programs boast many majors for students to choose from.  While many of these programs are worthy of note, here is a brief overview of some of ENMU’s incredible undergraduate degrees:
Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) - Design
ENMU’s BFA degree is the ideal choice for students interested in pursuing careers in advertising art, computer graphics, illustration, marketing, package design, motion graphics, or other similar fields. A BFA student majors in art and the curriculum places a heavy emphasis on graphic design.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Earn your nursing degree 100% online with ENMU’s innovative online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. The program does not award an RN license (students will need a valid RN license to apply for this program). Instead, the BSN offers a liberal arts complement for the clinical certification. Upon completion, BSN recipients will be ready to tackle policy, managerial, and ethical roles in the field.
Bachelor’s Degrees in Aviation
Did you know that you can earn a bachelor’s degree in aviation 100% online? ENMU offers two flexible solutions for students seeking a bachelor’s degree in aviation science: a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (BAAS). The BS program is a great choice for prospective students who want a traditional liberal arts degree. Aviation BS courses include aircraft construction, aviation safety, aviation law, airport operations, and FAA regulations to name a few. ENMU’s BAAS aviation degree is ideal for students with existing aviation credits, an Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences (AAS), or an existing FAA license.
